Peder Mogensen Pedersen

The Nyker church records show he was confirmed there in 1816, andstates: Peder Pedersen, received good marks for knowledge and behaviour.

The 1824 marriage record states: "Ungkarl Peder Mogensen Pedersentjenende 5' Vorned Gaard 21-1/4 Aar gl. Forlovere: 27 Slg. Anders Bechog Kirkesanger Jensen." After their marriage he and his wife went tolive at Skarpeskadegård.

Their marriage was traditional, in-so-far as it was celebrated in thebride's home church in Klemensker, and was witnessed by her father.Peder Mogensen's father was deceased by that time, so the second witnesswas the church cantor Jensen.

Peder Pedersen sold Skarpeskadegård in 1832, but had already moved toNyker in 1831.

The 1845 census for Nyker shows:
Peder Mogensen, 44, born in Nyker, Træskomager; Margrethe Andersdatter,44, Klemensker; their children: Niels Peter Mogensen, 18; KarenMogensen, 13, Nyker; Hans Peter Mogensen, 12, Nyker; Jens Peter Mogensen,8, Nyker; Gertrude Mogensen, 5, Nyker; Petrea C. Mogensen, 2, Nyker.
