Assignment 1 handler altid om verbernes hovedtider.

 

Man skal kunne finde hovedtiderne i en tekst.

·         Nutid  (-s i 3. person. ental)

·         Datid (-ed eller den uregelmæssige form)

 

Man skal også kunne finde grundleddet, der hører til de forskellige udsagnsord, så man får valgt den rigtige endelse.

 

Eksempel fra opgave

 

Find alle verberne (udsagnsordene) i præteritum (datid) i nedenstående tekst, og omskriv dem til præsens (nutid). Skriv hele teksten som dit svar, og marker verberne tydeligt.

Assignment 2 handler altid om ordklassegenkendelse.

 

Man skal kunne identificere de forskellige ordklasser. Opgaven kan være baseret på audio eller video. Det er en god ide at benytte en on-line ordbog til at tjekke ordklasse og stavemåde af de valgte ord.

Billedbeskrivelse

 

Man skal kunne kan skrive en kort tekst på engelsk (50-75 ord), som beskriver eller passer til et billede. I teksten skal indgå nogle bestemte ord eller ordklasser, som angives i opgaveinstruksen. Det er en god ide at benytte sin grammatik og ordbøg til denne opgave, så man får brugt de udvalgte ord korrekt.

smartphone – isolate – attention – avoid – distance – time – reads

This picture shows the dilemma of the smartphone. Everybody reads from his/her individual screen and for the time being they isolate themselves from the group. There is a short distance between the people, but they avoid communicating face to face. Maybe they only want to pay attention to one thing.

 

 

 

Synonymer

 

Man skal kunne forstå ords betydning samt udvælge passende synonymer. Det er en god ide at benytte sin ordbøg til denne opgave, så man kan tjekke, at synonymerne er korrekte.

 

 

Eksempel på opgave

 

Vælg et verbum (udsagnsord) og en præposition (forholdsord) fra hver af de to kasser nedenfor til at erstatte ordet i parentesen. Hvert ord i kasserne kan kun anvendes én gang.

Omformulering af tekst

 

I denne opgave bliver man bedt om at omformulere en tekst fra et stilleje til et andet.

 

Når man taler om stilleje, skelner man mellem

- formel stil, som bl.a. er karakteriseret af lange, komplekst opbyggede sætninger (mange lange ledsætninger) og korrekt grammatik, stavning og tegnsætning.

- neutral stil

- uformel stil/talesprog, som bl.a. er karakteriseret af korte, simpelt opbyggede sætninger. Her hører ufuldstændige sætninger, slang, bandeord, fyldord, ukorrekt grammatik, ukorrekt stavning og ukorrekt tegnsætning til, ligesom brug af store bogstaver og udråbstegn til angivelse af emfase.

 

Det er en god ide at gå systematisk til værks, tage et ”sprogligt niveau” ad gangen og se hvilke karakteristiske træk, man kan ændre på i forhold til tekstens sætningsopbygning, ordvalg, grammatisk, stavning  og tegnsætning.

 

På sætningsniveau f.eks.: ufuldstændige, lange/korte, komplekse/simple sætninger,

På ordniveau f.eks.: ordklasser, slang, bandeord, billedsprog, fyldord

På grammatikalsk niveau f.eks.: korrekthed

På stavning og tegnsætningsniveau f.eks.: sammentrækninger, afvigende stavemåder til at gengive udtale, brug af store bogstaver og udråbstegn til at angive emfase, manglende tegnsætning etc.

Man skal kunne gendanne to tekster i sammenhæng. Opgaven består af 10 – 12 sætninger blandet sammen.

 

Man skal være opmærksom på tegnsætning (komma og punktum), stort begyndelsesbogstav, bindeord, biord og stedord samt indholdet i de forskellige sætninger.
